- INFORMATION: The GPK Memes online exclusive set was a confusing mess from start to finish. Poking fun at popular online memes, this set was intended to be available for one week, but it sold out in 24hrs and took weeks/months to ship. Also, based on few images and a confusing description, collectors were confused about not only the concepts, but also just exactly what they were getting with a purchase.
Those who were lucky enough to purchase the set ultimately received a full base set plus 5 extra parallels:
- 1 'c' name (50 of each number)
- 1 Pink Border (25 of each character)
- 3 Green Border (75 of each character)
- Plus a possible Sketch Card (1:2, five artists did 50 sketches each)
- PRINT RUN: According to information released on the Topps website, the release sold a total of 500 SETS
- MEME INFO: There has been some confusion about which meme is actually being parodied in some of the cards. Below are images that show the original source material for the meme, along with the GPK counterpart. There is also a hyperlink below each image that will take you to a page explaining the history of the specific meme
