POSTERS
5" x 7" POSTER DETAILS:
In May, 1986...capitalizing on the success of the trading cards...Topps put out a series of Posters. The posters measured 12" by 17", and featured original artwork by John Pound and Tom Bunk
The posters were sold one per package, and featured the number of the poster in a small circle on the back. The checklist for the series of 18 posters was printed on the back of the packaging

The packs were distributed in a counter-display box that was extremely similar to the boxes used for the wax packs (stickers). Each box contained 36 sealed posters

The posters were folded in fourths in order to fit into the wrapper. Below is a gallery of all 18 posters (the lines where the posters were folded are visible in the images)

As with most GPK merchandise released by the Topps company back in the 80s (or today for that matter), there was not a lot of advertising. Below are two examples of GPK Poster promotional material from my collection.
First is the Sale Sheet, which is extremely difficult to locate; and second is a scan from the Sport Americana Price Guide (that coincidentally shows an image of the sale sheet)

CHECKLIST POSTER DETAILS:
In 1985 Bi-Rite Enterprises obtained an official license from Topps to produce collectible posters. These posters featured all the Original Series 1 and 2 Garbage Pail Kids stickers, and were broken up onto four different posters
Poster 1A featured all of the 'a' versions of Original Series 1 (not displayed in numerical order) and Poster 1B featured all of the 'b' versions. Posters 2A and 2B were similar only they featured the OS2 characters

The posters were sold one per package, and were rolled up and slid into a thin plastic bag. Various copyright information, product details, and production company information can be seen at the bottom of the posters when they are rolled up in their bags (below)

Years ago an eBay auction popped up for a 'Garbage Pail Kids Posters' sale sheet. Based on the image from the auction this sheet appeared to be larger than the standard letter-sized sheets, and it included images of all four collectible posters. Below is a (somewhat) cleaned up version of the sale sheet
