In 2010, Topps Inc. decided to celebrate the magic of the 1980's Garbage Pail Kids release with an all new release: The Flashback Series!

From the promo flyer: "Celebrating the 25th anniversary of their infamous launch in 1985, Garbage Pail Kids Flashback features 80 of the most sought-after vintage GPKs from the '80s presented in a retro-inspired design, each with an a/b twin for a total of 160 base cards -- the biggest GPK set ever! Fan favorites from Original Series 1 through 8 are divided into 8-card sequential subsets. Ten kids are drawn as they would appear today in a special "Where Are They Now?" subset. And you'll notice a few unfamiliar names in an exciting "Lost GPKs" subset that finally reveals six early kids never before published."
